holiday time

Hi blog family!

yes, holiday is here again! what does it really mean? for me, it means appreciating what the universe has given me so much, that I want to help others. This life is about service, what can you do for others. I mean those who really don't have. You may think your bad off because your in a group home but there are kids in places worse than you!
You want examples? ask the kid who still has to cop for his addict mother- because CPS never came to his door!
ask the kid living in an orphanage in china, where they believe family is everything, so what do you think that child is thinking if he/she has no one...they think they are nothing..
ask the kid in Brazil or poor parts of India (or America)...who has to be sold because the parents are so broke they have no food and live in a hut structure!

it can always be worse-never forget that-- BUT it can always get better as long as you have life!!!
I need you to start focusing on how to celebrate holidays...not with "presents" but with gifts you give to others, the gift of smile, comfort..there may be a new kid in the group home younger than you that just came in and has no family, maybe you can be a good positive role model for him/her? maybe you could stop the bully from bothering them because people do respect you! Maybe you could give  him/her a coat--because you have 3 already and you can't wear all three!!
Christmas was always sad for me, even though my foster mother tried hard and gave us nice gifts, i always felt empty without my real mom. Even now without my brother on earth I always feel that lonely...BUT you can take that feeling away or ease it by making it what you want.

When my daughter was younger we would cook a big meal, wrap up as many plates a box would fit, and go feed the homeless in Brooklyn/Manhattan....then we would have dinner because now we had something to be thankful for...that for today we feed someone a healthy safe meal!!
You are not too young to start your own holiday tradition.

Think of what you love to do that can save or change a life..(it can be as simple as shoveling the driveway of a senior citizen and NOT expecting $) (it could be smiling at a kid everyone hates, but you pay good attention to them by smiling)..(it could be you draw and you make cards for the kids who are NOT going home for holiday)...simple things that YOU can do and don't need anyone's help really...
how can it help others
do you need help?

Stop believing the hype of TV holiday ..its ok to believe in santa all that but beleieve that if it is sopose to be GOD"S birthday...(strange we get gifts on his birthday?)...then he would want you to help others on this day not see how many gifts you get.... I know its a harsh lesson but think of how you can be of service to others, then the universe will bless you with all you need!

Happy holidays, stay safe and know that you are loved the most because you are highly favored and the universe needs each and everyone of you to be full!!

voting??

hey blog family, i know, it's been a minute, busy with this book situation, please be patient..
I had to go and vote today...not for the president but for others positions, senate, judge etc...
I wanted to tell you it is important that you all go to school and get your education because we have no good choices for canidates!! Most in politics are in it for the money and the fame not because they want to make a difference with the people! But I am ok if I know the future will be better. That can only happen if you go to school, go to college and major in political science!
I know that your generation would make better presidents, judges, senators because your group is fearless AND willing to make things happen quicker!
why vote? I know you don't need to now but if you are 18 here are a few good reasons...
1. because your ancestors were killed, hung, beaten and robbed before you could sit on a bus or drink from the same waterfountain!
2. because you can- it is your right-again people died for you to have choice---use your voice or lose it!!
3. The future will not get better unless your generation steps up and do something
4. you are smarter than us, you know all the latest technology and can figure out peaceful solutions quicker than my generation!!
5. because you know that without you, the universe will stand still for someone-because only YOU can make it better with your imagination and talent to do things different and just as effective!!
please google all you can about voting and see why it is important. You have to use your voice and voting puts people in office and takes them out but if you don't vote-someone gets through that will destroy our country. This is your country and you can help when your 18 by getting a group of your friends togeather and going to vote for the person you think will help bring america forward-not backward!!! much love to all of you in care and those who work with kids in care, please teach them to use their right to vote-the earlier they learn-the less they will NOT vote when they get older!!! I was lucky my foster mother was a civil rights leader AND she worked the polls on election day...get out and vote if your 18!!

when no one believes you because your a kid!

Hi Blog family, it's been a minute, I know..life is always happening, even when you stop!
I hope you are all well and will tell your friends about my site and my friends at www.thepurpleproject.com and theundergroundrailroadtosuccess.com both of these sites are great resources, (places you can use for information). When you find people or information that will save or change a foster kids, or anyones life, you have to let people know, don't keep a good thing to yourself!

What do you do when something bad has happened, and no one believes you because your a kid?


1st. THIS IS ONE REASON YOU MUST NEVER LIE,(UNLESS IT WAS TO SAVE YOUR LIFE OR SOMEONE'S LIFE)!
If you are the type of kid that always lie's, when it is time for you to tell the truth and you try, no one will believe you because you have no "credability! (that means no one thinks you tell the truth)

2nd. You build credability by always being honest, always keeping 100% as you young ones say! No candy coating a lie or making up extra things of what happened, only the truth from start to finish!

3rd. Yes, even when you have a good reputation and you tell the truth, there are people who will not WANT to believe or trust you because THEY are messed up! ( yes, not just foster kids have issues, some people had there family, and they are still more messed up than us, atleast we are required to go to therapy and talk, even if we don't take advantage of it yet!) Alot of people will not go to therapy unless they are faced with issues or they are required by court, so alot of people never get the help they needed to process their childhood issues like us, so in a way, you are lucky because you are asked to deal with your problems, even if you don't the option is there for you)
 I know your too young to know this yet but i am warning you not everyone is good BUT most people want to do good and that's what you have to go on.
4. If someone does not believe you: teacher, friend, social worker, whoever: you have to ask yourself why does this person not believe me?
If you can say because you are known to lie, don't be mad at them for not believing you, just keep telling the truth and eventually they will see you are more honest
If you told a BIG lie, (someone hurt you and they did not), this is wrong because you could ruin someone's life for good!
 Never play with another life by lying. 
If someone is really hurting you and no one believes you, if it has to do with abuse of any kind, report it, teachers, doctors, social workers and police are "mandated " reporters, meaning they must file a report and tell the proper people.
This is why you can't lie to "get even" or because you are mad at someone, lying in this case can bring harm to someone's life or career BUT if they are harming you, then it is your duty to tell so this happens to no one else!
Truth is always best because it free's  you from more lying. I would rather someone not like me because I am honest Sometimes the truth will hurt and expose bad people, places or things, that's ok, but lying, that is no ok because you want to be known in your community, especially as a foster kid, as a person of charector and truth, always helping others and spreading GOOD energy!
